The care I received on this ward was just wonderful. I cannot thank this team enough for their humanity, care, and thorough professionalism. I was humbled by the earnestness with which they all undertook each and every task. Thank you to all – you are all warriors.

All of the nursing staff were truly amazing- each and every one of them gave respectful attention to not only me but all the patients, you are just superstars! My heartfelt thanks for your good cheer and for sharing your vast professional knowledge – it is because of you all that I am on the path to good health.

This team demonstrated great care for each of their patients. While attending to each individual, they also responded very quickly to any emergencies. One particular incident comes to mind, when a patient became very sick very quickly, the nurses’ knowledge and quick thinking saved this patient. Whilst the nurses continued their heroic work, the healthcare attendants stepped up and looked after the rest of us. True teamwork – although unspoken, they all had a role, each one as important as the next. I slept easy that night knowing I was being cared for by true professionals.

The treatment I received from the staff on this ward was excellent. The staff was so attentive to me. I felt so welcome and cared for. They were so helpful and explained everything about my condition to me- sometimes more than once. I witnessed the junior nursing staff being mentored by their senior colleagues; this assured me that I was in safe hands. I was privileged to be cared for by such wonderful nurses- I can’t thank them enough.

I can’t pick one nurse to nominate for this award because they were all amazing, so I want to nominate the entire team. The care and dedication they gave my father was second to none. They communicated directly with him, listened to his wishes, and never made him feel like a burden. There was constant positive reinforcement to help him engage in tasks to get him back on his feet. We will never forget them.
