I want to say thank you to all the team for the exceptional care, compassion and professionalism you showed during my time in Our Lady of Lourdes. Thank you for all that you do day in and day out and for doing it with such grace and humanity.

Since my admission, I have found each member of the team to have been exceptionally caring, most attentive, always very good humoured, empathetic and respectful to each patient, often under very trying circumstances. They have been exceptional, working conscientiously as true team members and supporting each other.
They are highly dedicated, professional team workers, always pleasant, good-humoured and most helpful.

When the doctors delivered the news that my lovely mam could pass away given her condition at the time, each and every nurse on duty that day and all remaining team members came to me and either gave me a hug, squeezed my hand or comforted me in some way that made all the difference. I was on my own, trying to do the best to advocate and care for my mam. The team were there for me every single step of the way. I didn’t have to ask for their kindness because they each gave it so willingly and earnestly. It was truly remarkable, and I will be eternally grateful to every single member of the team.

Nana has been in the hospital for over 6 weeks, and every day, everyone on the team has been amazing. We haven’t had to ask twice for anything. They work amazingly together and with us, the family. I’ve had so much support as a family member, and they have gone above and beyond for Nana. We will miss every single person here.

On behalf of our family, we wish to thank and acknowledge the care the team provided to our Dad and, indeed, the support they gave to us while caring for him.
It was a difficult and upsetting time, and we could not have made it through without them.

I sincerely hope senior management is aware of the amazing, talented, professional and compassionate staff they have on this ward, and they acknowledge it on a regular basis, as their work is very difficult and mentally draining when supporting very ill patients, and they do it with a smile or a nod to acknowledge we were hurting.

I cannot emphasise enough how supportive and kind the nurses were to Dad. We will be forever grateful.
