Brad Chicoine, RN

Brad has consistently gone above and beyond for a longer stay patient in the ICU. From decorating her room on holidays to providing her family with unwavering support despite the ethical challenges around the situation, Brad led from his heart. Understanding that as her last days drew near, Brad coordinated on his own, having a musician come in to provide the patient with beautiful music in her last days. As he went on vacation, he was part of coordinating the de-escalation of care and providing family support as they navigated the struggle of losing their mom. Brad's dedication to ALL the patients we serve does not go unnoticed. In another patient scenario, I witnessed him de-escalating a younger patient who was having a significant change in status. He was calm and empathetic, helping keep the patient and other team members safe.
