Brad Corrigan has worked in the SICU for 5 years. Brad personifies the hospital mission through his compassion and reverence, exemplified through Thank You letters that have been written about him by patients and their families.
In a patient letter that I received, the patient described Brad “as someone who they never experienced a more compassionate, skilled professional nurse”. In a second letter that was received from a patient’s family, Brad was described as an angel who brought brightness to this family in their darkest hours while their father was passing.
Not only are Brad’s characteristics of compassion and reverence noticed by patients and family, but his peers also describe him to be a responsible caring nurse. In another nomination by a fellow SICU nurse, Brad was described as “A Team Player who helps provide the best care possible and gives it their all”.
Recently, Brad went down to another patient care unit to see how they were healing. This also displays his level of caring and compassion for the patients that he has taken care of.
