I am always pleased when I know Brad Webb is working on the same floor as me. He was willingly to start an IV for my patient when I was not able to and is very knowledgeable on equipment and has great experience in doing procedures that I do not do on a regular basis.
Last night Brad helped me transfer a patient to a larger room and the patient had a heated nasal cannula. He helped me to remove the equipment from the wall when it wouldn't pull out of the wall easily; also showing me how to turn the heating machine back on to work properly. In the morning the same patient's port-a-cath was leaking and he helped me to restart new one. Which then we decided not to use because it looked infiltrated, and he started a peripheral line and informed me that the patient needed D10 to be started because the patient had been on TPN. He also helped me for about 45 mins at the peak busy time in the morning, and always calm and kind. When I called to ask for help with the port a cath, he was putting in an IV in for another nurse.
Brad helps everyone with kindness and courtesy. He remains calm and comforting to patients.
