We will remember Brady for years to come (that is if my grandmother does not end up taking him home with her) and will forever be grateful for his excellent care!
Brady was such a blessing to my grandmother! He is immensely knowledgeable and caring. His years of experience shone through, and he was able to advocate for my grandmother. For example, my grandmother was in Severe Sepsis and getting a lot of IV Fluids. He was worried that all the fluid would send her into fluid overload and heart failure. He reached out to the doctor multiple times to share his concerns. Sure enough, she went into fluid overload and heart failure. Brady immediately responded and knew what to do to make her feel better in no time.
Because he has so much bedside experience, he was able to use his Critical Thinking skills to anticipate my grandmother’s needs and prevent her discomfort. He also kept our (big) family informed every step of the way, which made us more comfortable and we knew my grandmother was being well taken care of. He treated my grandmother like his own family, he even gave her hugs and let her kiss his hand! I think it speaks volumes that Brady is still at the bedside after his 9 years of experience, he has served as a charge nurse but prefers to be by the bedside.
Brady emulates of all Northside’s Service Standards with his excellent professionalism, communication, responsiveness, ownership and accountability, care and compassion, and commitment to co-workers. Our family was able to see all of these behaviors in Brady with every interaction we had with him. We will remember Brady for years to come (that is if my grandmother does not end up taking him home with her) and will forever be grateful for his excellent care!
