I am honored to nominate BradyMae Ressel for her exceptional compassion, initiative, and dedication to our patients’ well-being. Recognizing that many individuals being discharged during the winter months lacked access to warm clothing, she took it upon herself—entirely on her own initiative and outside of working hours—to collect jackets, coats, and other winter essentials for those in need. Her caring and thoughtful nature is evident in every step she has taken; reaching out to family, friends, and personal contacts to gather donations; organizing and preparing the clothing; and ensuring that vulnerable patients leave the hospital with warmth, comfort, and dignity. BradyMae saw a need and responded without being asked, demonstrating the true spirit of nursing by extending her care far beyond the clinical setting. Her actions not only meet an immediate need but also inspire those around her, reminding us of the profound impact compassion can have on a person’s life. BradyMae exemplifies the values we strive for, and I want to recognize her for her remarkable generosity and humanity.
