My daughter was struck by a vehicle this year. She was admitted on the same day. Braelin started caring for her and she was so caring and kind. Braelin would come by even after her shift ended to come to talk to my daughter despite being in a medical coma. A few weeks later, Braelin was placed in Pediatric Rehab in the hospital wing. Braelin would sometimes be on duty to help fill in for short staffing. But she would come to sit, talk, walk and play card games with her to help her feel better. I have never seen a nurse place so much time, effort, and care into a child. Braelin would even come to check on me and my husband during her breaks. She is the type of nurse who goes above and beyond her oath. She even still emails from time to time to message my daughter and check on her (from work email of course). If she could be recognized for her compassion, kindness, and demonstrating what a nurse should be, that would mean so much to our family.
