Her phenomenal nursing skills along with her compassion, kindness, and determination make her our December Geisinger Community Medical Center December DAISY Award Honoree! Ms. Cortazar was nominated by a patient who stated:
"This phenomenal nurse did not miss a beat, she is very dedicated to her patients as well as mindful in their care. Somehow, she always made me smile, and even laugh after receiving difficult news. Without her, I don't think I would have been so motivated to take my health seriously, especially with sickle cell."
