Sometimes offering a listening ear can make all the difference, and that's not all Brandi Cortazar has to offer. Her phenomenal nursing skills along with her compassion, kindness, and determination make her our December Geisinger Community Medical Center December DAISY Award Honoree! Ms. Cortazar was nominated by a patient who stated:
"This phenomenal nurse did not miss a beat, she is very dedicated to her patients as well as mindful in their care. Somehow, she always made me smile, and even laugh after receiving difficult news. Without her, I don't think I would have been so motivated to take my health seriously, especially with sickle cell."
