I have watched Brandi Miller grow in her leadership role and take on additional responsibilities to continue to support nursing.
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Leaders was created to shine a light on those who do not typically have direct patient care as part of their work and those who create and environment where compassionate, skillful care thrives.
This leader drives team development, resiliency, and competency, ensuring team members are meaningfully recognized for the work they do for patients and families and provide a haven of safety for staff both physically and emotionally. They are accessible, available and responsive to the needs of their team. Problem-solving and encouraging critical thinking are a must.
Brandi Miller, Staff Development Manager, has been responsible for staff education and development for patient care, recruitment, and retention. She puts in tireless hours to recruit top-notch nurse interns, which in turn helps us recruit nurses. She does a great job mentoring these interns!
Brandi has developed the new model of education with specific modules that Baptist system uses. She and her team continue to make annual skills labs meaningful and better than the previous year. She supports all of nursing in any effort or new process. CNO says, “I have watched Brandi Miller grow in her leadership role and take on additional responsibilities to continue to support nursing.”
We congratulate Brandi Miller on receiving the DAISY Nurse Leader Award for 2024!
