Throughout the day, her task turned to mitigating my discharge, during which she showed continuous concern for pain management, medical recovery, and whole-body wellness.
I am writing this letter to let you know how thankful and appreciative I am of the actions and care I received while admitted to the UL Hospital ER. Following a single MVA, I was admitted to UL Hospital overnight for observation. Unfortunately, I was mildly concussed and without my prescription glasses. Most of my recollection of the visit comes from the sounds that reverberated throughout the night and the little near-sightedness I had.
Every nurse, technician, doctor, specialist, and support staff member was very professional and efficient, especially considering the harrowing conditions and circumstances in the ER that evening, which I had never witnessed before. The most incredible kindness and attention I received during my stay was from nurse Brandi Mundo, who was assigned to me on July 12. Her presence was calming, supportive, and direct. While being an employee of an ER/Trauma Center requires a super-human heart and dedication, I can confidently say that this individual supersedes those virtues in both modern medical practice and holistic compassion.
In the chaos of that day shift, I sat waiting for discharge, observing constant attention from Nurse Mundo to myself and her other assigned patients without delay or self-regard. Every word was spoken in a soft, reassuring tone. Every stress from her other patients or her responsibilities seemed to stop at the curtain of my room. Throughout the day, her task turned to mitigating my discharge, during which she showed continuous concern for pain management, medical recovery, and whole-body wellness.
My MVA was life-changing, and it is with great relief that I reside in a community that has access to the staff and professionals at UL Hospital. The care from Nurse Brandi is a premium example of a nurse’s mythos of compassion and well-being, and for that, I am forever thankful.
