I have known Brandi for over 15 years and she is an exemplary nurse and person.  From our days 10 years ago as floor nurses and her also being a clinical instructor, Brandi has always been one of the most pleasant, kind, compassionate, friendly, and loyal nurses I have ever met.  She often goes out of her way to make sure the CRC department is staffed.  On her days off, she's available to help her staff.  She has come in to work on her cherished PTO days and countless times on her days off due to unit needs.  Brandi makes her patients, their families, and her co-workers feel cared about and important.  She is an excellent preceptor and teacher to new nurses and nursing students.  She is always pleasant and calm, yet open and friendly.  Her kindness emanates the room she's in.  Her calm presence puts her anxious patients and families at ease.  She has handled sudden traumatic life-altering changes in her personal life as well as her work life with both grace and strength.  Brandi easily slides under the radar as she's so quiet and graceful.  She currently works in a small unit - but she has a massive impact on so many.  It's unfathomable that such a stellar nurse has somehow gone unrecognized for the 17+ years she has worked at Wolfson Children's Hospital, but she has.  Brandi truly makes this hospital and this world a better place because she's a part of it.
