We hope not to be in the ER again, but if we are, we hope Brandon is there.
Brandon was phenomenal. We met him in the ER. A time that was stressful and challenging was made better because of his expert nursing skills and also because of the compassion he had for my grandmother (patient) and for us. She was not an easy patient. She, at one point, had hallucinations, allergic reactions, and unknown causes of pain and was later found to be a bad gallbladder. He handled everything she could throw at him medically, and everything would change constantly. He handled the hallucinations and mood swings and handled me and being stressed with the most empathetic and compassionate nature. His nursing skills were evident early on as things changed and tests were done. He was always on top of it. He helped me build a makeshift bed to get a few hours of sleep while staying at the hospital with her. We spent three days in the ER, which was so challenging, but he made it so much more manageable. I’m forever thankful for him, his skill, and his compassion. I can’t imagine the stress of his job but he never once showed it. We hope not to be in the ER again, but if we are, we hope Brandon is there.
