Brandon, being the compassionate and caring nurse that he is, consoled the patient, as well as the family.
Brandon Kote is dedicated to his position as RN in the MICU. He comes to work every day with a smile on his face, ready to care for his patients. If obstacles present to him or the unit becomes very busy, Brandon remains focused and keeps smiling.
I recall an instance where Brandon was caring for a patient who attempted suicide and was just extubated. I offered to relieve Brandon for lunch, and he stated, "No, I want to stay with this patient." The patient was crying and very upset. Brandon, being the compassionate and caring nurse that he is, consoled the patient, as well as the family.
Brandon takes it upon himself to make our unit better by helping out his colleagues and being a real team player. No matter how busy, he goes out of his way, is always willing to help others, and he never complains. Brandon exemplifies what a real nurse should be. He has a positive attitude and shows genuine compassion and empathy to his patients and family members. He also is very professional, knowledgeable, and is very respectful to others. He is a hard worker and will do anything for anyone. Brandon is an all-around good person as well as a great nurse, and because of these wonderful qualities, I would feel comfortable and assured knowing he was my nurse if I ever was admitted to the MICU.
