There was an inpatient scheduled for a procedure. When Brandon was in the patient's room, he noticed that the patient's personal wheelchair was very worn and tattered- the seat was very worn, and the back was simply a strap with no real back or support to it. Brandon went to administration and asked if there was any way that the hospital could donate one of our wheelchairs to this patient. By the time the patient was being taken back to his room- Brandon had a wheelchair (with administration approval) ready to go up to his room with him. The patient was so appreciative and said it was just the right size to allow him access into doorways. This was such an act of kindness to see the need and immediately meet it. This also speaks highly of our administration in that they did not hesitate to meet the patient's needs.
