May 2024 Honoree
Brandy Bowie
Over the weekend, our office received a voicemail from a patient’s wife. She wanted to share what a wonderful experience she and her husband had with one of your student nurses. The wife shared that this student was also a paramedic and was slated to graduate from your program in May. She said this student was absolutely wonderful and could get blood from the patient when the nurses on the unit couldn’t. She was very impressed with her skills and bedside demeanor and felt this was worthy of being shared with you and the student body. She goes on to say that ECU Health is blessed to be a learning institution that helps to provide a training environment for our students, and she hopes that we share this and show all of our students just how important every single encounter they have with a patient can be. They will and DO make an impression every time they walk into a patient’s room, and they get to decide what kind of impression that will be.
Thank you, Brandy, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
