I had the opportunity to work alongside Brandy in caring for a patient who had an unexpected medical event which led to his death. It was clear very early in his care that his condition would quickly lead to his demise. Brandy was there to assist me with the care of my assigned patient without me even asking. She offered compassion and support to the patient's grieving family and to myself. She showed extraordinary compassion and dedication in this situation and is always dedicated to high-quality nursing care. Both she and I were able to make the best of a very hard situation and provide support and compassion to the family as the patient died.
