For the first time since we began honoring the DAISY Award Nurse of the Quarter, Saint Luke’s East has recognized two R.N.s for their extraordinary nursing care. Brandy Proffit and Kathy Pearce, both R.N.s on the Mother/Baby Unit, were nominated by a patient and her husband for the amazing care they received. In a very emotional letter, the patient thanked Brandy and Kathy for their wisdom and experience and their willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty for her and her family. From all the staff and administration at Saint Luke’s East Hospital, we want to thank Brandy and Kathy for their compassion and dedication to both their patients and team. Congratulations!
