I was admitted in December with chest pains. Brandy was my nurse on day shift. From the time I met her early in the morning until the end of her 12-hour shift, she demonstrated great compassion for me and my wife. After completing an Angiogram heart procedure, I had some anxiety about my situation. Being an engineer, she communicated factual information that significantly relieved my concerns. She went a step further and brought me a drink that helped to further calm me. She was extremely attentive, thorough and competent. She was very clear and precise with the information she provided us. In addition, her timely sense of humor lightened the situation. In summary, she was respectful and compassionate, a strong communicator, she demonstrated critical-thinking skills and had a strong attention to detail, all of which calmed me down.
You are blessed to have such an excellent nurse on your staff. She deserves to be recognized as a model nurse. I am so grateful we had her as our nurse.
