My mother was admitted as a patient to Mercy Fairfield for five days. Many days this Bre was her nurse. My mom trained to be an RN and was an emergency room and floor nurse for the first part of her career. For the final 25 years of her nursing career, she was a nurse educator/administrator. I share this background because she has extremely high expectations due to her training and background. Bre stood out as a fine nurse. My mom felt that she anticipated her needs very well. She was kind, compassionate, and prompt each time she was called for any question or assistance. Bre exuded professionalism in all care that was given. Bre was also warm and approachable with conversation that was beyond just the care required to get well. My mom enjoyed talking about our pets and family and then hearing about Bre’s dog and family. Her genuine friendliness put my mom at ease and was a calming force as she got better. A appreciated this nominee’s care. It made me feel confident that my mom was well cared for.
