Nurse Brea is so much more than the nurse at school. She is a positive role model, trusted adult and a safe space for all students, families and school personnel. One particular situation that has always stood out in my mind is when I think of Nurse Brea was her kindhearted goodbye for a student who loved the movie Frozen. This student always came to Nurse Brea's office singing her favorite songs from the movie on her good and bad days (due to significant medical conditions). When Nurse Brea learned that the student was moving to a new school she wanted to make the student's last daily visit to her office extra special. Nurse Brea went above and beyond transforming her office into a winter wonderland Frozen theme and dressed up as the student's favorite character Elsa! The student beamed joy and happiness as she took her last daily dose of medication from "Elsa" aka Nurse Brea and danced/sang "Let It Go" as an added special send-off.
