I cannot explain how patient and loving she was with us. She was a beautiful example of what a nurse truly should be.
My aunt was in ICU for 14 days. She was extremely special to my family, more of a grandmother to my children than an aunt. The first day we went to the ICU to visit my aunt, Bree was working. The doctors were doom and gloom, but the family was still holding out hope, and Bree was not giving up on us. She was so kind to my aunt and so encouraging to the family. When I first arrived, the first thing I saw was my aunt punch Bree in the face. This is something my aunt would have NEVER done. NEVER. Bree brushed it off and continued to be so kind to my family and to my aunt. One day I arrived and she was fixing my aunt’s hair. My aunt never knew that she had done that, but the family did. Bree answered every question I had, which was many, every time I asked. She made phone calls about questions we had that probably weren’t even her responsibility. I cannot explain how patient and loving she was with us. She was a beautiful example of what a nurse truly should be. When it became increasingly evident to the family that time was getting close, Bree changed her role to comfort my aunt and prepare/help the family come to terms. There is not ONE thing that I can point to in my aunt’s two weeks in the hospital that Bree did that was poor or even average. She was EXCEPTIONAL! Some people have a calling for what they do. Bree has been blessed by God to care for her patients extraordinarily. I will forever be grateful to this young lady for her love, kindness, and compassion. I am so appreciative. May God reign blessings upon her.
