During my radiation treatment Brenda was my nurse. She was so fantastic. She helped me so much with everything from fatigue to burns to emotional stuff. She went to Costco and bought me special oil for my skin. She didn't even want me to pay her back. I did but I know of another patient who couldn't. She never rushed me; she never made me feel high maintenance. She took every question, concern or near symptom seriously. She understood my phobia of radiation and made sure the radiation techs knew how scared I was without her help I might not have finished my treatments. She taught me how to care for my skin at home so I would not have to interrupt my treatment. She always had a smile and something encouraging saying. Now 5 months later she still remembers my name and keeps up with me. She is my hero!
