Brenda was nominated by a mother whose worries Brenda eased. The mother wrote that her daughter was born at 24 weeks leaving her with multiple diagnoses. She stated that she didn't want to leave her daughter's side and Brenda knew it, so on her day off, Brenda came to the hospital and volunteered her time to stay with the patient while the mother took a break. When her daughter was going for two procedures, she expected that, even though they were routine, her daughter would not be immediately extubated because of some of her daughters diagnoses. Brenda walked with her, cried with her, prayed with her, and assured her everything was going to be ok.
