Brenda always would bring my spirits up and remind me that I'm strong and I have gotten through this before and I will again.
This is my second time recovering from major surgery here at the CCC; I had a 20 pound lymphocele mass removed from my right side. My incision was 62CM long, and a wound vac was placed to heal it. Brenda is honestly the most compassionate, caring, gentle, and most patient nurse I have ever had. I was in an extreme amount of pain daily from my current surgery along with other ongoing health problems that cause constant chronic pain and without even ever having to ask for it, Brenda would bring my pain medication every 4 hours as prescribed along with all my other scheduled meds throughout the day.
I had some difficult days where I would cry and worry if I would be able to recover well from this surgery and Brenda always would bring my spirits up and remind me that I'm strong and I have gotten through this before and I will again, even with the wound infection and other obstacles I had to get through. Brenda is such a kind soul and definitely goes above and beyond to make sure you're as comfortable as possible and your needs are being met each and every day; I will miss Brenda so much after I go home, but her exceptional care will never be forgotten.
