Brenda Gillette, RN

Brenda Gillette is a very special and dedicated nurse in our ICU. She is extremely compassionate; she never measures the effort to go above and beyond for her patients and their loved ones. Brenda measured no effort at the task of getting one of our long-term ICU patients (over 100 days stay) to get him up from the bed to the chair for the first time in his stay. Not only that, but she was also able to take him on a “tour” and for a breath of fresh air. The smile on the patient’s face was priceless. All the staff applauded as he got up in the chair. That made our day so much brighter in the ICU! Brenda does that on a consistent basis. She always makes sure her patients get what they ordered from dietary; she makes sure they are turned, clean, and they have the very best, most excellent care! She is also a team player, always checking on her coworkers and lending a helping hand. In times of crisis, she is one of the first to jump up to help. To make a long story short, Brenda is a shining light; sweet, dedicated, compassionate, hard-working nurse that always looks to make her patient’s and coworkers’ day brighter and extra special!
