... I know of 3 different times I had to call Brenda with a problem with my IV pump. 2 of the times she stayed on the phone with me until the problem was fixed and at the time I called she wasn't even on call. The third time again she was not on call but made a trip to my house late Saturday afternoon to resolve the problem. Brenda even made an extra trip to my house when I called and told her my IV PICC site was hurting, within a couple hours she came out and changed the IV dressing. The pain went away. Brenda is very compassionate about her job and she makes you feel like a human being, not just another patient. I have had over 10 surgeries on my shoulder and of all of the nurses who have cared for me, Brenda has been the best. WOW! Brenda is a great role model for all nurses when it comes to caregiving. Brenda is the most caring and giving nurse I have ever seen. Great job, Brenda. Very deserving of the DAISY Award.
