We want to recognize Brenda Mauer for going above and beyond with a particular patient who was being treated for cancer at our clinic. During one of his appointments, it was discovered that he had a severe case of bed bugs. Brenda contacted pest control to determine the best way to limit exposure to other patients and staff. Furthermore, she coordinated care through the Office of Aging and assisted him with access to basic needs such as new clothing. Brenda spent countless hours on the phone organizing a plan of care for this patient in regards to living arrangements, cleaning services, pest control, etc. The patient and his family were extremely appreciative and overwhelmed with her caring and support.
