Brenda effortlessly (or so it appeared) provided everything I needed plus much else besides.
Brenda provided outstanding care for me on the cardiac unit at UW Hospital. I was brought to the hospital by ambulance and due to the current restrictions in place due to COVID-19, I was unable to be with any family member as I awaited a heart procedure. I was very worried and under considerable stress. Brenda stepped right in, and immediately everything began to get much better.
Her expertise, understanding, compassion, and attention greatly relieved my anxiety and reduced my stress considerably. Brenda effortlessly (or so it appeared) provided everything I needed plus much else besides. She kept me apprised of lab and test results as soon as they became available, and she patiently explained what they meant. Brenda was always cheerful, optimistic, courteous, respectful, and unfailingly helpful. When Brenda had the time, we talked about education (Brenda is a former high school teacher as was I), books, music, food, family, and what we might do once we're on the other side of this pandemic. These conversations were more than distractions from my immediate health concerns; they connected me to a most wonderful nurse and human being. Just when I needed it. Thank you, Brenda. You are quite amazing.
