Brenda Simmons, RN

It was a blessing to have Brenda as our night nurse.  With her hospice experience, she was very caring and was good with end-of-life needs.  She showed wonderful compassion not only to our Dad but to us.  She made sure she came into the room every hour to make sure he did not suffer any pain or anxiety.  She also was very compassionate to our family members during the last night and kept bringing coffee and seeing to our needs.  For example, my husband sat up all night by my Dad's bedside to keep him calm, so my sister and I could trade off getting rest.  She knew he needed coffee to stay awake and kept bringing it all night.
