Brenda was nothing short of amazing at keeping me calm, explaining what she was doing at every step, and making sure I was comfortable.
I came in very dehydrated, unable to keep anything down (even water), and very afraid. Brenda was nothing short of amazing at keeping me calm, explaining what she was doing at every step, and making sure I was comfortable.
She anticipated my needs before I was even sure what the solution could be, such as bringing me ice chips (approved first by the ER doctor of course) to help moisten my mouth while I was hydrated with an IV.
She took the time to listen to any concerns or questions I had and to answer them thoroughly even though I could tell the Emergency department was very busy, as I'm sure it regularly is. She was even kind enough to laugh at a few of my bad jokes spoken through my, at the time, raspy voice. I haven't been a patient in the Emergency department in a long time, and I had a lot of apprehension and fear. But Brenda's kind demeanor and competent attitude made what could have been a terrifying experience into a relieving one where I felt sure I would be taken care of.
