Brenda Walling 2024, RN

Brenda Walling is one of the original ANM's left working in the CLC. Over the years, she has become a subject matter expert on staffing methodology. She has shared this knowledge with her new peers, including NM's & ANM's. When on 5C as an ANM, she would call herself the "scheduling coordinator". She worked tirelessly on the schedule to eliminate almost all the OT. She would make sure the schedule was balanced, fair, and equitable.

When she transferred to TH/SH as an ANM, she assisted with many changes in practice. She goes into staffing, volunteers to assist on Med Unit A during COVID, and changes tours at the drop of a hat to meet the needs of the organization. I know that I can always count on her when she is scheduled to work.

One weekend, I was out of town, and the water pipes burst in CLC A. I reached out to Brenda, who was working who assisted CLC A with moving residents quickly to make sure everyone was safe. She is a true team player and dedicated to the mission and vision of our veterans.
