I was grateful and not expecting that the nurse on duty, Brenda, was doing a simple gesture, maybe for her, but for me, it was the grandest gesture I have ever seen or received throughout my hospital stays.
It happened after my 3rd C-Section, I was due for ambulation 12 hours post-operation. My husband was not yet around, and I am thinking about how to do things on my own, such as: going to the bathroom to wash, change my sanitary pads, and so on. Just thinking of going to the toilet alone seemed hard to me since I was in so much pain after the operation.
I was grateful and not expecting that the nurse on duty, Brenda, was doing a simple gesture, maybe for her, but for me, it was the grandest gesture I have ever seen or received throughout my hospital stays.
I thought that gesture would end only by helping me to stand and walk to the toilet, but Brenda even helped me inside the washroom. Brenda helped me clean myself, she even helped me put on underwear, which is really the first time someone did that for me, aside from my family and my husband. She also helped me changed into clean clothes, made my bed nice and neat, and also helped me with my food. I also really appreciate the way she gave me my medicines. She would not leave the room until making sure that I took my medicines, handing me water, and helping me to be in a comfortable position afterward.
I do really appreciate it and will forever be grateful for the care she has given, not only to me but also to my precious little bundle of joy, my baby boy.
To Brenda, a million thanks, from the bottom of my heart, you are truly one of a kind. Keep doing what you are doing and inspire others to do the same.
Praying and hoping for only the best for you, for you deserve it.
Thank you!!
