Brendan has a unique way of making his patients feel as if they are his only patient.
I was a patient at Delnor for 8 days and Brendan was my primary nurse during the day, most days. He was extremely easy to talk to and was very respectful of my feelings. Early on he was very in tune with what made me anxious and knew how to deescalate the situation. When the Respiratory Therapist would turn down my oxygen level, I would feel as if I was having trouble breathing. Brendan would always say, “Let’s give it a little while,” and see how I felt, and assured me he would turn it back if I needed him to. He had a very calming and reassuring manner which made me feel very at ease in his care. The last day of my stay around lunchtime he told me I could take my oxygen tube off and I looked at him like he was crazy, he then told me it had been off since 6 am! For someone so young he certainly had figured out what made me tick, we shared a laugh, and we're so glad he did it the way he did. I had no anxiety about it at all. Brendan has a unique way of making his patients feel as if they are his only patient.
