During our dad's stay in the Surgical/Transplant ICU, Brent made a special connection with our family by showing compassion when our family found out that our dad no longer qualified for a transplant and was terminally ill. The day our dad was removed from the medication maintaining his blood pressure, Brent stayed with our family for over 3hrs past his shift. Furthermore, when our dad was brought down to another floor for comfort care, Brent stopped by to check on our dad and our family on several occasions. Brent provided excellent care for our father and was very supportive to our family in this very difficult time. He is a nurse who cares enough to cry with the family.
