I would like to nominate Breon of the CICU unit for DAISY Award. Breon has been so amazing since the start. Although, she mostly works nights we have had so much contact with her, and she has been such a pillar in our story. She had always had a special place in E's heart, even when she is not his nurse. She often come to check on him as well as help during bath time and to dress him and change his sheets. She has also been so kind and giving during holidays. She got E a little stocking during Christmas, and for Valentine's Day, she brought him in a blanket with hearts.

She was also the first person who let my husband hold our son. She had been trying to work it out so we could hold him for a while but because he had an ET tube it just never seemed to work. But on Christmas Eve, we had gone in at night so we could be the first to wish him a Merry Christmas and since she was our nurse, she worked it out and my husband got to hold him for the very first time. I got to hold him as well but there is nothing like watching a moment like that. She continues to always have E's best interest and is so kind to us. We feel truly blessed to have her in our lives.
