Breon definitely made a special connection with me and my husband during my L&D experience. I was having complications with getting my epidural placed, and the procedure took well over an hour. I was in the midst of contractions, and was so very uncomfortable. Breon was so calm and caring during that time. I was trying so hard to focus on my breathing and I was a blubbering, sweaty, slobbery mess. She even was reassuring to my husband, who was becoming very concerned about the time it was taking and my progressing labor. My husband later told me how she was advocating for me, and she kept suggesting that the MD assist the CRNA who was unsuccessful for the first 45 minutes. Even now, when I think back about that experience, I keep thinking how calm, caring, understanding, and compassionate Breon was. I could not have made it through that time without her support; my husband and I really appreciate her extraordinary care.
