As a co-worker, Brett is always a pleasure to work with. He is smart and funny and will always help when needed. He has a quick wit and is a hard worker. Brett is also very kind. He recently had a patient who was dysphasic from a remote stroke, so, she talked often, but her words were generally not reflective of what she was trying to express. She had sustained a significant burn that required dressing changes. Brett would take so much time with her. She would say "yes" but shake her head no while trying to explain something. She would become flustered and Brett would provide positive reinforcement and never seemed rushed. True compassion is seen in the little things - the things that take time and patience. Yay, Brett!
