While Brett is always compassionate and caring, he recently acted with heroic effort to reunite an imminently terminal patient with his family. Although Brett was very busy and had other patients, he took the time to ensure this patient was comfortable and emotionally supported. Although he had no contact information for the patient's family, Brett called other hospitals the patient had recently been in and tracked down the family. The family had to travel quite far but made it to the hospital just shortly before the patient passed. Without Brett's efforts and compassion, the patient would have never seen his family again and the family would never have been able to say their goodbyes.
