Brian Hobbie, BSN, RN

Brian has been my preceptor both as a SNAP and a capstone student. He has always gone out of his way to teach me as much as possible. He is extremely knowledgeable about what he does and is willing to share his knowledge with anyone willing to listen! He has pushed me out of my comfort zone to become a better nurse. He is truly invested in teaching and educating both students and patients. He takes time to talk to patients, ask them if they understand everything, and stays late to have extensive conversations about procedures, medications, and difficult decisions. He has taught me both compassion and critical thinking as a nurse. He advocates for patients and goes above and beyond to give them the best experience during their most difficult times. He always connects with families and helps them feel cared for during their time at PHI.
