I am confident that this special blanket surrounded me because of the care and compassion shown by Brian and Marco throughout my Cath Lab and recovery journey.
Brian took me to the Cath Lab for a routine procedure. I told him that even though I would not be awake, I wanted him to keep me warm. The routine procedure turned into a life-threatening event that required me to return to the Cath Lab. Marco took me back from recovery to the Cath Lab, where we were greeted by Brian and the other members of the medical team. Brian hugged me and assured me that I was being well cared for by him, Marco, and the rest of the team.
I ultimately required care in the ICU. When I was once again able to communicate, my daughter told me that the warm fleece blanket on my bed was not standard hospital bedding. I am confident that this special blanket surrounded me because of the care and compassion shown by Brian and Marco throughout my Cath Lab and recovery journey. My daughter returned the blanket to the Pre-Op department with a message of gratitude for Brian and Marco.
All of the other staff and doctors who have been integral in my survival and recovery will always be close to my heart. These two nurses demonstrated exemplary nursing skills in taking care of me during my stay. Thank you, and God bless.
