Brian was caring for a critically ill patient in the ICU when he found out the patient's wife had gone to urgent care for a fall. Her fall led her to need hip surgery, and she was admitted to T8 postoperatively. Brian went out of his way to coordinate with the T8 PCN to arrange a visit. Brian called T8 to get report on the patient, in the off chance she decompensated during the visit. He took a wheelchair up to T8 and brought the patient's wife down to the ICU to visit her husband. This is just one of the many examples of how Brian consistently goes out of his way to deliver high-quality patient-centered care.
