I was brought in by ambulance and admitted to CGS; I was unaware of anything for a period of time. When I arrived at my room, I began to understand what was going on. I knew I needed a great team of nurses, doctors, and staff. Those that I could see the face of Christ in and through them. At Christus, I know your mission is to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, and throughout my stay, I was treated with true care and concern that comes from nurses who have experienced the love of Christ in their lives. While every doctor, nurse, patient care tech, housekeeper, and food service employee exemplified the ministry of healing, there was one nurse who had a great impact on my healing.

This nurse carried the love of Christ with her, and I could feel it every time she came into my room. The level of care was extraordinary, and this was impacted by her extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. I was able to share my story with her and she in turn shared her deep love of Christ. To come to a hospital under the worst of circumstances and with prayerful gratitude leave with a heart full and a body healed, words cannot begin to express how much she meant during my stay at Christus Good Shepherd. I believe she went above and beyond in her care, making sure that I was monitored and that every need was met. She is my personal angel disguised as a nurse, and I am forever grateful.
