Bri was an outstanding, exceptional nurse! When I was brought to the childbirth center to be induced I was so lucky to have her as my nurse. My labor was extremely intense and fast, and because it was my first baby, I was pretty scared. Bri was my cheerleader with every contraction, telling me how well I was doing and encouraging me. She suggested different labor positions, offered me pain meds, and was respectful of all my wishes. She carefully explained what every different piece of equipment was there for, which I really appreciated because the fetal monitors and different alarms really scared me at first. Bri hardly left my room all night but when she did she communicated when she would return and she always came back when she said she would. Not only did she communicate well with me but she also worked well with the whole childbirth team when it came time to start pushing. She was respectful to the whole team (doctor, techs, and baby nurses) and it was obvious they all respected her too because when she asked for anything it was immediately brought to her. When the baby was born he couldn't keep his body heat or his blood sugars maintained. Bri was quick to explain every procedure being done to him. She was so reassuring! The next night I was moved to a different part of the hospital but even though I wasn't her patient Bri came back to check in on me. She visited with me for a while and clearly showed how much she cared about me and my little boy. To me, that was the best part of all. I was so thankful for this outstanding nurse!
