My mom had a procedure done in Decatur. They put stents in her heart, one of them clotted off. They called a code blue on her. They had to resuscitate her, take her back to the OR, where she coded again, and they had to paddle her four times! They then flew her to Barnes via helicopter; my siblings and I were terrified. We drove to St. Louis to be with her in the ICU where Brianna was, she is the most kind hearted compassionate person we have ever met. She explained everything to us in detail. She answered every single question we had and if we didn’t understand it, she would pull up a video for us to watch to help us understand, she advocated for my mom as if it was her own mother. This woman is truly an angel. You should be so very lucky to have her working for you. She truly touched our hearts and helped heal my mother, who, I might add, is still here today because of the wonderful care she received. I can honestly say every single person we ran into at Barnes-Jewish was amazing, but she stood out to us because of her beautiful heart. Please let her know how much she impacted our lives and helped us through the worst thing we’ve been through! She is an amazing nurse and picked the right career for her compassionate and kind heart!
