During Mom’s last hour or so, whenever Brianna came in she would whisper in her ear and tell her what she was doing and call her ”Sweetheart”.
My siblings and I had a very touching experience while our mother was in the ICU unit in Weston. She was admitted to the ICU and diagnosed with Sepsis. They tried to get her blood pressure up and did everything they could but to no avail. This is where we met Brianna. She was absolutely amazing with our Mom. She was so patient with all of us and all of the questions we had. When we realized that she wasn’t going to make it, she came into the room with a handful of small jars with corks in them. In each jar, she had placed a short strip of Mom’s EKG so we each have her heartbeat. I could see that was emotional when doing this and it meant so much to us. I cannot begin to tell you! During Mom’s last hour or so, whenever Brianna came in she would whisper in her ear and tell her what she was doing and call her ”Sweetheart”. Mom passed away a couple of days later. The entire ICU Staff was absolutely amazing during our Mom’s brief stay with them. They were very attentive and again very tolerant of all of our questions. I know that the ICU Staff has had to deal with a lot over the course of the last two plus years and we genuinely appreciate their care.
