We recently had a patient come to the Emergency Room as a trauma. This gentleman had a travel companion named T, who is a 13-year-old Dachshund-mix. Brianna Siravo took it upon herself to take over care of T. She took T home with permission from the patient so he would have a comfortable, loving, safe home until the family could come to get him. This also helped the patient feel comfortable and be able to rest easier and get strong.
Brianna worked with the patient's family to make arrangements to have T picked up. The patient’s family member had to fly into town so T spent more than 36 hours with Brianna and our ER team.
