Brianna Stevens, RN

I commend Brianna Stevens for the compassion she showed while caring for a patient facing a very difficult diagnosis. She took the time to sit with the patient and gently ask how she was feeling. Brianna genuinely listened to the patient and heard their fears of the future. She provided that much-needed listening ear and support.

Additionally, she stayed after clocking out of her long 12-hour shift to brush through the patients' very tangled hair and braid it. The patient had not been able to do her own hair due to her being sick, so Brianna made sure that the patient had a restored sense of dignity. She showed kindness and compassion when a patient needed it the most. Brianna demonstrated the true heart of nursing.
