She was able to complete observations on my son without waking him, and when he was awake made the effort to make him smile and laugh.
I would like to recognize Brianna Sturzaker, who has cared for my son a couple of times at the LGH, 4K Ward.
My almost 18-month-old son has been admitted to the 4K Ward multiple times over the past 6 months and we have been cared for by Bree during our stay.
During December my son had to have some tests done under general anesthetic, she was constantly checking if myself and my husband were ok and if we had any questions or concerns.
She was able to complete observations on my son without waking him, and when he was awake made the effort to make him smile and laugh.
During our December stay I overheard Bree mention to another nurse that she had worked a double shift the previous day and that she was tired - she was so bubbly every time she came to see my son and I would have had no idea that she had worked a double shift and was rather exhausted.
All the staff who work in the 4K ward have been outstanding every time we have had to be admitted.
