Brianna Westmoreland, RN

Whether it is a simple task like getting a patient water or it’s a bigger task, Brianna Westmoreland is always there when we need her. Anytime I have an issue, she will do their best to help try and solve it. There is no nurse/RNT divide between them. She helps in all aspects possible. We love her.
I don’t believe there is one single story that demonstrates why she deserves this award. She overall is very approachable, responsive, flexible, and caring. In my interactions with her, if my patient needs something or is in distress, she will stop what she is doing and address the issue immediately. She is conscious of when patients have therapy and will help with getting patients ready or complete med pass prior to therapy. She truly cares for her patients and their wellbeing. I have personally seen her go and sit with a patient and just talk to them and provide encouragement. This is a huge deal to step away from one’s work and be present for someone going through a difficult time in their life! I also feel as though she advocates for patients and will voice concerns regarding patients' medical and physical status. She is also quick to help other nurses who need it. I also feel that she has stepped up as a leader. I always feel happy and know my patients are in great hands when she is working.
